So my mission began to create a stand that would be high quality all around. After several sketches, many mistakes, re-cuts, and reshaping...the Harbor Stand was born. The stand was dubbed “Harbor” because of it’s meaning ( a safe place or a refuge ).
What’s different about the Harbor Stand you may be wondering?
There are three main reasons why I stand behind this design so much:
1. The low gravity design. This unique design ensures a surefooted stance that keeps your instrument securely on the stand where it belongs... not on the floor. I can literally push my guitar around, front to back, and side to side with a good amount of force and the stand actually moves with the instrument and then balances back to it’s feet. The equally balanced design utilizes gravity at it's key center point and serves as an invisible anchor.
2. There’s no need for any neck support because of the way the stand hugs the instrument. The bottom supports that contact the body support the weight at the widest possible point. Each of the supports, including all the contact areas, are covered in a soft acid-free foam lining. It enhances the designs hug and also protects the finish of the instrument.
3. And last but not least the stands made here at Willowdrum, are solely 100% handcrafted, just like in the good ol' days, and just like much of your instrument was. They are made from only the finest select hardwoods and are crafted with an eye for detail.
I take great pride in every stand that leaves my shop here. The first thing I want you to do is smile when you first open your package. Then I know that it is a great stand.
